Citroen has chosen the Shanghai motor show to take the wraps off its new DS5. The car will be unveiled on 18 April as a concept, but is said to be a clear indication of the third member of the French firm's luxury and sporting DS brand.
According to Citroen, the DS5 will be "a daring and sculptural creation that perfectly expresses the DS spirit while implementing the best in Citroen's technology."
Citroen is staying quiet about exact details of the DS5, though it is known it will be a more luxury oriented model than the C5 on which it's based.
To underline the DS brand's funkier image, Citroen announced the initial news of the DS5's arrival on Twitter. The full unveiling at the Shanghai motor show will be shown on Citroen's DS5 Facebook page.
Citroen has hinted that the DS5 will be launched late in 2011 and will come with a range of engines that will include a diesel-electric hybrid model.
