Low finance rates a carrot to try and reverse falling Dacia sales.

What's the news?

Dacia Ireland is offering a reduced interest rate for those looking to buy a Sandero or Sandero Stepway. Buyers can now avail of zero-deposit finance, at a 2.9 per cent APR hire purchase rate. That's available for orders taken before the 31st of March.

Across the rest of the Dacia range - including the recently-introduced second-generation Duster SUV and the Logan MCV compact estate, you can nab yourself a 4.9 per cent APR rate on hire purchase, and still get the zero deposit option.

Dacia is also offering 24-hour test drives from its nationwide network of 26 dealerships. Why the special offers? Simple, Dacia sales have slipped this year, falling by 34 per cent, while sales of the Sandero itself are worse again - down by 45 per cent compared to this time last year.

As an image-booster, Dacia is going to be the official car supplier for the finals of the Guinness PRO14 Rugby finals, which take place in Glasgow in May. Dacia cars and pitch-side logos will be all over the competition, which will have its final match at the famed Celtic Park.

Dermot Rigley, Commercial Director, PRO14 Rugby said: "We're always thrilled to welcome a new member into our sponsorship family and ourselves and Dacia are coming together at a time of great success and growth for both organisations.

"The Guinness PRO14 is in a great place on and off the pitch which is why Dacia are so keen to be a part of the Final Series when the competition reaches white-hot intensity and captures the attention of rugby fans right across the world.

"Last year we saw a record attendance for the third year in a row at the Guinness PRO14 Final and with our new world-wide broadcast deals we know Dacia and all our other partners will get to be a part of one our biggest audiences yet."

Patrick Magee, Country Operations Director, Dacia Ireland said: "Dacia is the best new car brand ever to launch in Ireland and so, we are delighted that we can align the brand with the success of the PRO14 Rugby for the Final Series which will crown this year's champion team.

"Dacia has, from the start, been a no-nonsense brand offering affordable cars to all, and from the robust muscular styling of the All-New Duster SUV to the spacious Logan MCV and the compact Sandero, there is a car in the range for everyone.

"We look forward to the partnership with PRO14 Rugby and to the excitement of the upcoming Final Series."
