What's the news?
Riding a wave of interest in hybrids, Toyota is aiming to attract Irish buyers into dealerships in July with some pretty tempting offers, including as much as €3,000 knocked off the price of a new car thanks to a trade-in booster.
The Japanese brand is having a 'New Generation Event' at dealers, nationwide, from the 5th to the 8th of June, at which, and for the first time according to Toyota, all of its new generation hybrid and petrol vehicles will be on display together, including the Corolla Hatchback, Saloon and Touring Sport, as well as the Camry, RAV4, Prius, Yaris, and not forgetting the Toyota C-HR.
Thanks to the recently-introduced Toyota Financial Services bank, you'll be able to get finance from rates as low as 2.9 per cent APR for passenger cars, and 1.9 per cent APR on commercial vehicles. Those commercial vehicles will include the returning Land Cruiser Business edition.
All of the 'New Generation' offers come with inclusive three-year servicing packs, and you'll be able to get a new Corolla hatchback from €210 per month; a Corolla saloon from €215 per month; or a Corolla Touring Sports estate (our favourite) from €220 a month. The new Camry is available from €304 per month, while C-HR prices start at €31,710 for a hybrid, with up to €3,000 trade-in bonus. Finally, you can get a new RAV4 hybrid for €273 per month on a 3.9 per cent APR finance package.
Michael Gaynor, Marketing Director at Toyota, commented: "We're very excited about 192 as it's the first selling period where we have all our new generation models on display and ready to test drive. There is clear momentum behind the Toyota brand with our market share already surpassing last year's, and we expect this to continue for 192 as thousands of people make the switch to self-charging hybrid. And, with some fantastic additional offers on some of our new generation petrol models, there's never been a better time to buy a Toyota. However we'd urge customers not to delay as demand exceed supply on certain models."
