What's the news?
Tesla Ireland has confirmed that order books are open for the Model 3, with prices starting at €48,900 for the Standard Range Plus model.
Available in rear-wheel drive as the SRP, or with twin motors and all-wheel drive as the Model 3 AWD Performance, you'll get at least 415km of all-electric range out of the former (WLTP ratified) and up to 530Km from the Performance model.
The rear-wheel-drive SRP will do 0-100km/h in 5.6 seconds and run on to 225km/h, while the Performance uses its AWD traction advantages and extra power to record a blistering 3.4-second 0-100km/h time with a top speed of 261km/h.
Every Tesla Model 3 in Ireland comes with Automatic Emergency Braking, Forward Collision Warning and Side Collision Warning, with the possibility to add new features and enhance functionality via 'over-the-air' updates during the passage of time. As standard, the Model 3 comes with the black or white premium interior package, which means heated and 12-way power-adjustable front seats, a centre console with covered storage, four USB ports and docking for two smartphones. A premium audio system includes 14 surround-sound speakers and there are also auto-dimming, power-folding and heated door mirrors.
Five colours options for the €48,900 Model 3 RWD Standard Range Plus begin with standard Solid Black, with Midnight Silver and Deep Blue metallics costing €1,100 each, and Multi-Coat Red and Pearl White rocking in at €1,600 apiece. Also fitted to the SRP are 18-inch Aero alloy wheels and Autopilot, which - with driver supervision - will steer, accelerate and brake the Model 3 during driving.
The Model 3 Performance, from €60,700, adds the long-range battery for 530km of range and Dual-Motor AWD, as already mentioned, as well as a carbon-fibre spoiler, 20-inch performance wheels and aluminium alloy pedals. It also comes with red brake callipers and a Track Mode feature in its drive settings.
Anything else?
All Model 3 customers have per-per-use access to Tesla's global Supercharger network, which includes more than 430 locations with more than 3,600 Superchargers in Europe. For Ireland, the Model 3 has a CCS Charge Port for compatibility with third-party fast-charging networks, if required. First deliveries for reservation holders will begin in July.
