What's the news?
We're due to drive the red-hot BMW X3 M and X4 M models any day soon, but already Munich has announced a set of M Performance upgrade parts for the pair of hot SUVs.
These upgrades are available for the 510hp Competition models only, and comprise items like high-gloss carbon-fibre exterior parts - such as the kidney grilles, the air breathers near the wheels and the door sills - while either the X3 M's roof edge spoiler or the X4 M's rear fins can be finished in high-gloss black. LED door projector mirrors with M Performance motifs and 'M Performance' decals can also be specified.
Moving inside, there's a tasty M Performance Pro steering wheel, which features Alcantara grips and carbon-fibre shift paddles, as well as a 12 o'clock marker in blue, a carbon-fibre trim section and three-colour M stitching. Finally, owners can choose to have a carbon-fibre trim for the gear selector lever, too, and a set of velvet velour M Performance-embroidered floor mats.
Anything else?
Alongside the exterior and interior styling elements, the M Performance items for the BMW X3 M and X4 M models includes a key case in Alcantara with carbon fibre, while M Performance wheel bags are available for the transportation of the light-alloy wheels; this last feature is more for markets (such as BMW's home one of Germany) where laws dictate two sets of tyres must be used throughout the year, according to the seasons.
