Skoda begins a new recruitment drive in Ireland

New positions across the Skoda network need filling.

What's the news?

Skoda is starting a new recruitment push across its dealer network in Ireland, as the brand increases its market share nationally. A total of 30 new trainee positions are available across the country's 27 dealers, with a particular focus on the aftersales and technical side. In 2016 the brand held a similar drive resulting in the hiring of 40 new people.

The introduction of new models like the Scala and Kamiq, as well as the brand's move into the field of electrification, means that new sales and aftersales staff are needed to cope with the increased demands and new components of the business as it expands.

Speaking about the recruitment drive, Keith Colton, Business Support and Marketing Manager at Skoda Ireland, said: "Skoda is experiencing unprecedented growth in Ireland. In order to maintain this growth and to prepare for an electric future, we are seeking talented customer focused trainees to work in our dealer network. We would, in particular, like to meet ambitious individuals for the roles of Trainee Technician.  In addition to attractive packages, including a €2,500 tooling grant; our Trainee Technicians will receive the very best training on the most advanced vehicle technologies from the Volkswagen Group. Successful candidates can expect a rewarding career with endless opportunity for growth and development."

Those interested in applying can do so through the Skoda Careers website or apply directly at http://www.skoda.ie/tools/career-submission before 30th July 2019. Successful applicants will be interviewed in August with positions being filled by October.
