Opel Grandland
The next-gen Grandland will come with electric power, and it looks far more interesting.
If the outgoing Opel Grandland was a rather underwhelming SUV, then this new one should be anything but. Based on the high-tech ‘STLA-Medium’ platform from Stellantis (just like the new Peugeot 3008), the Grandland can be had in either hybrid or fully electric forms. That means a battery capacity big enough to claim a range of up to 700km for the most expensive versions. Inside, there’s a slick new interior, and if the outside looks a touch Opel-predictable, then there are at least some nice details, such as the backlit ‘Lightning’ badge. As well as the big-battery, long-range version with the 98kWh battery pack, there’ll be a more affordable 73kWh version which will still get you past the 500km mark on one charge.
