Opel Ireland has confirmed the appointment of Blackstone Motor Group to its dealer network. The group will operate new vehicle sales and aftersales from two locations, in Cavan and Louth. The Blackstone Motor Group was established in 2007 with the opening of its first premises in Drogheda. Since then, led by Noel Stewart (Managing Director) and Donal Waters (Director), a second showroom was opened in Cavan in 2016, followed by a third premises in Dundalk last year.
In 2015, the company was awarded National Franchised Sales and Aftersales Operation of the Year by SIMI, and in 2016 scooped the Drogheda Chamber of Commerce SME Business of the Year award. This accolade followed successive awards in 2014 and 2015 from the Drogheda Chamber of Commerce for Business Excellence for Best Customer Service.
Commenting on the announcement, James Brooks, Managing Director of Leeson Motors, the importer for Opel in Ireland, said: "The addition of Blackstone Motor Group to the Opel Dealer Network fills key open points for us in both Cavan and Louth and this appointment is strategically very important to us, as we bring to market a host of new models and strive to grow our national market share, whilst strengthening our Aftersales business. Noel and Donal have very successfully built their business and their enthusiasm is infectious. We warmly welcome them and their team to the Opel Dealer Network and I wish them every success with the Opel brand."
Managing Director of Blackstone Motor Group, Noel Stewart said: "Adding Opel to our existing brands in Cavan, Drogheda and Dundalk presents us with much opportunity for further growth as the Opel brand rejuvenates its model line-up in the next six months. We very much look forward to providing our customers with a full offering of Opel passenger cars and light commercial vehicle sales, services and parts."
