The used car supermarket, ZuCar, is set to open its first showroom in Dublin, located on Rochestown Avenue. Its direct approach to used car sales includes fixed pricing and a five-day money-back guarantee if the customer isn't entirely happy.
With the ongoing pandemic and Level 5 restrictions, ZuCar reports that it has experienced a 200 per cent increase in visitors to its website where stock is available to view online. It also states that its online sales have surged by 98 per cent during Q1 2021 versus Q4 2020.
Serving as a suitable outlet for used cars from its parent Joe Duffy Group, which includes brands like Audi, BMW, Ford, Jaguar, Volvo and Porsche, ZuCar already has retail sites in Cork and Limerick. Car owners can also sell their car directly to ZuCar without having to buy another, and the company's analytical based appraisal system provides a competitive valuation for each car.
Surge in online sales during lockdown
Gavin Hydes, ZuCar CEO, said: "ZuCar.ie offers customers an opportunity to experience our unique and stress-free used car buying service online. Customers can view, buy, or reserve any of our cars online in our virtual showroom and have the car delivered anywhere in Ireland, or view it at one of our Customer Experience Centres, when the restrictions allow. During the restrictions, we are offering free nationwide delivery.
"Our transparent and fixed pricing promise will ensure that their experience is enjoyable, efficient, and most importantly, offers great value and an unrivalled selection of fully prepared used cars. We also offer ZuCar Finance at competitive fixed rates, so in effect, we can offer a one-stop-shop from start to finish, which makes the whole online buying experience simple and efficient, with next day delivery available," he added.
