Gowan Auto, the sole importer and distributor of Alfa Romeo, Citroen, DS Automobiles, Fiat, Fiat Professional, Honda, Jeep, Opel and Peugeot in the Republic of Ireland, has inaugurated its new headquarters in Dublin's Citywest, complete with a new company name and brand identity.
Gowan Auto has made a sizeable financial investment in the new Citywest facilities to future-proof the business and better serve its dealer partners' sales, parts, technical and aftersales needs.
With a combined market share of more than 12.2 per cent for passenger cars and light trucks in Ireland in 2022, the corporation has set its eyes on rapid, sustainable growth over the next few years.
This rebrand comes after completing a phased relocation of 129 employees and brings together its collection of automotive brands and teams in its new expansive office space, which includes a marketing showroom and 110,000 sq ft parts warehouse.
The large warehouse enables timely parts availability with up to three daily deliveries to dealers. Other facilities include 123 parking spaces, seven meeting rooms and two training classrooms.
The Gowan Gallery, the new marketing showroom, is a flexible event area created for each brand to host conferences, events, launches and welcome dealers and fleet visitors.
The new HQ is also home to the Gowan Academy. This training centre provides Gowan Auto dealers with access to specialised technical, sales, financial, marketing and digital skills to provide in-depth training across all aspects of the business.
Due to this consolidation and relocation, the Honda building on the N7 and Gowan House in Dublin 12 have both been sold.
Gowan Group claims that it has achieved greater efficiency by introducing common services across the brands, with the dealer networks now having access to centralised IT support, improved customer care, warranty, technical, parts and finance teams.
Michael Dwan, Gowan Group Managing Director, said: "Backed by 53 years of steadfast motor industry expertise, the Gowan Auto rebrand and relocation are cornerstones to our clear vision for achieving success, together with our collective car brands, nationwide dealer networks, fleet, lease and car rental partners, and our suppliers. This transformation is part of our commitment to support our expanded brand portfolio, and to continuously enhance our services to our dealer networks, our end-customers, and the wider auto industry in Ireland."
