Harris Group, Ireland’s largest privately-owned automotive distributor, has announced a significant restructuring of the Isuzu dealership network, marking a new phase of growth for the brand in Ireland. The company forecasts a 60 per cent increase in sales over the next 18 months, driven by the launch of new Isuzu vehicles and a revitalised dealership network.
This strategic move is part of Harris Group's broader restructuring programme and follows the appointment of a new senior management team. Karl Haughton, with extensive experience in Harris Group’s Maxus and Bus & Coach divisions, has been appointed as Head of Sales and Dealer Network for Isuzu. In his new role, Haughton will oversee sales operations and manage the fleet division, with the aim of driving growth and rejuvenating Isuzu’s dealership network across the country.
Haughton emphasised the importance of this restructure: "This is a milestone year for Isuzu in Ireland and an opportunity to mark 40 years and bolster our distribution network. It’s important for us to support the brand by working with like-minded dealerships that share our commitment to maintaining the highest of standards underpinned by unrivalled customer service. As a premium brand, we prioritise ensuring that every dealership embodies Isuzu's core values of durability and reliability. With the introduction of the new look D-Max this month, followed by the launch of battery electric vehicles next year, we welcome fresh perspectives. The time is right to invigorate our dealership network and ensure its continued success."
