Joe Duffy Group to recruit new apprentices

The Joe Duffy Group - one of Ireland’s biggest car dealer groups - has announced that it’s setting up a ‘significant recruitment drive’ as it looks to find 50 new apprentices to work in its service and maintenance departments.

Very exciting time

The motor industry in Ireland has, across the board, been struggling to recruit new mechanics and technicians of late, so the plan by Duffy’s to recruit 50 new apprentices is a major one. With the Group noting that ‘we are increasing our aftersales capacity across the Group’ and adding to the company's 600 existing aftersales staff, 'it’s a very exciting time to join the Group.’

State-of-the-art

Speaking at the announcement of the recruitment drive, Joe Duffy Group CEO Gavin Hydes said: “In line with the Joe Duffy Group’s strategy to further develop our business, we are looking to grow our team. We offer industry-leading, state-of-the-art facilities, and a structured training an development programme, along with unrivalled career development opportunities and an active social club, with lots of fun and enjoyment. The Joe Duffy Group apprenticeship programme covers a variety of roles, including apprentice technicians, apprentice service advisors, apprentice sales, and apprentice parts advisors.

Explore different roles

This week, on the 26th of February, the Joe Duffy Group will hold an open day for those interested in the apprenticeship programme, at Joe Duffy BMW in Charlestown just off Dublin’s M50 motorway. The day runs from 4pm to 6pm, and according to the Joe Duffy Group, you’ll be able to “meet the team, explore different roles, and discover the best fit for your skills and interests. Whether you’re passionate about cars, customer service, or problem-solving, there’s an opportunity waiting for you to start your journey with us.”
