Ford Ireland has announced a new partnership agreement with the Make-A-Wish children's charity. The tie-up will see Ford Ireland as the main sponsor of the annual Make-A-Wish Crystal Ball, which this year will take place on Saturday 16 May in the DoubleTree by Hilton in Dublin.
Each year Make-A-Wish Ireland grants wishes to children aged between 3 and 17 years all of whom live with life-threatening medical conditions. Whether big or small, these granted wishes provide respite for the children from their routine of hospital visits and treatment. Since the charity was first set up in 1992, it has granted over 1,700 wishes to children in Ireland.
Commenting on the announcement, Ciaran McMahon, Chairman and Managing Director of Ford Ireland, said: "We are delighted to be supporting the hugely valuable work of Make-A-Wish in Ireland and to be involved with their annual black tie ball. We look forward to what is sure to be a very special and entertaining event. And this won't be just a once off activity, as we hope to establish Ford as an ongoing supporter of Make-A-Wish Ireland".
