Ireland’s first stand-alone Dacia dealership to open

What's the news?

Menapia Motors will open Ireland's first stand-alone Dacia dealership in November as it expands its operation at its site on the Rosslare Road in Wexford Town. Currently operating as a Renault and Dacia dealer from the same showroom, as is the current standard practice, the company has acquired an adjoining commercial unit which it will turn into a separate showroom for its Dacia operation.

The new unit will have a dedicated customer parking area and a second unit behind it will be converted into a new workshop. Following this, the existing workshop will be updated to handle LCV aftersales business.

Menapia Motors currently employs 22 people and plans to add to its workforce when it completes work on the new premises. In particular, the areas of sales executives, service advisors and technicians will be the primary focus of the new staff intake.

"It is an exciting time for the Dacia brand in Ireland with a new model Dacia Duster SUV model coming in late 2018. We hope to be able to launch the new Duster in style in Ireland's first stand-alone Dacia Showroom in time for 191 orders", said Paul White, Sales Manager at Menapia Motors Dacia. The new second-generation Dacia Duster is due to launch later this year and has already proven to be a popular model in Ireland.

Commenting on the announcement, Brian Quinlan, Business Development Manager at Renault Ireland said: "We are thrilled to see this level of investment in the Dacia brand and look forward to the showroom opening in coming months. This will be the first standalone Dacia showroom in Ireland and indeed one of very few in Europe. Menapia Motors are making a massive commitment to the Dacia brand, and we are certain that this leap of faith will bring increased business and importantly a fantastic and exclusively Dacia customer experience".
