Issue with my new Ford Focus...

Hi there.

I purchased a brand new Ford Focus last week and I have just noticed that the dashboard on the driver's side is not fitted correctly. There is a gap of about 10mm between the windscreen and the top of the dash on the driver's side and the bottom of the side panel of the windscreen is not flush with the dashboard. It appears the dash is not sitting on a mount that I can feel with my finger.

Question is, should I ask garage to refit the dashboard or will this result in other issues of damage and noises in the dash after a refit? So annoyed after spending so much on the car.

Please help

BMW X5 M50d or 45e hybrid?

I am considering the BMW X5 M50d and the X5 xDrive45e. Which would be more potent and smooth in drive and comfort? When the PHEV is driven hard the fuel consumption would increase. Batteries will require charging. Limitations appears to be factored into the PHEV.

When to change automatic gearbox oil?

Hi,

When or how often should the oil in an automatic gearbox be changed? The manufacturers may say (I don't know?) it doesn't need to be changed at all, that it is good for the lifetime of the transmission: but what do they mean by the lifetime of the transmission? 100,000 miles? One would expect a transmission to last a lot longer. There are views out there on the internet that say change every 30,000 or 50,000 miles. Do you have access to any independent experienced mechanics that could give an authoritative answer? I have a C-Class automatic petrol Mercedes and an automatic diesel Volvo.

Thanks

Philip

When to change my Kuga's belt?

Morning,

I have a 2015 Ford Kuga 2.0 TDCi diesel with 82,000km on the clock. I asked my mechanic when do I get a cam belt change.  He was not sure, said to speak to a Ford dealer. When is it required and approx cost?

Thanks

Thoughts on this high-mileage Focus?

I have been looking at buying a 2011 model Ford Focus Zetec S 1.6 TDCi. The mileage on it is sitting quite high I think at 90,000. What questions should I ask the dealership before I decide if I'm to buy it or not? The price is €4,000; is this ok?
