Why do car sellers obscure the reg plate?!

Hi,

I've been looking at second cars online recently and have been frustrated by the number of ads where the car reg has been obscured or hidden. Why are sellers doing this? Is it a bad sign that there is something to hide, surely not for long as you can ask for the reg over the phone or you'll see the reg once you view the car?

Thanks in advance.

Looking for a Honda Civic Type-S.

Is there any difference other that number of doors between a Honda Civic Type-S and the normal one? I'm talking about 2008 model. If looking for one of those, what should I be aware of? I'm interested in the 2.2 diesel.

Another question is, what is your view on a fuel and air energiser (activator)?

Is the Ford C-Max a wise investment?

Thinking of changing my 2010 Ford Focus Style 1.6 TDCi  hatchback for a 2012/2013 Ford Focus hatchback of similar engine size. Or maybe a Ford Focus C-Max of similar age. Any advice on what would be best? Wondering about selling on the C-Max in a few years - is there much demand for them with the wide variety of SUV/crossover vehicles available now?

Which seven-seat SUV won't break the bank?

Am looking for a seven-seater that has three ISOFIX points in the middle seats and has either four-wheel drive or assist. And that won't break the bank. Am coming up short on anything that's not mega expensive.

Cash for cars sites any good?

Hi guys,

I have a 2011 Saab 9-3 Vector Sport with 56k miles, 1.9 TTDi. I need to sell it as we only need one car in the family now and the Saab is only being used at the weekend. There are a few Irish websites offering to buy cars for cash. Do you know if they are any good? Should I expect a trade in price or less?

Any advice much appreciated.

Regards Rory.
