Hang on a minute, it looks like a petrol car is cheaper...
I've been telling my wife that her next car should be a diesel for years. She may drive up to 50 miles a day so I was convinced that it would be cheaper in the long run to buy a diesel. However, diesel and petrol models of the same car are priced completely differently. So assuming you wanted a car for an average of three years and the price difference on purchase is €1,500 - €2,000 more, the saving is non existant; in fact it's a loss based purely on fuel costs.
Am I wrong and just crap at maths?!
Thanks

Help: I need a small MPV to carry my three granddaughters!
Hello,
For financial reasons I have to sell my 2005 Citroen Xsara Picasso diesel. I really like the style of the car and therefore I would like to stick with Citroen. Vitally important though is: it MUST have three seat belts in the back. So I am looking for a smaller and cheaper to run vehicle. I will have about €2,000 to spend. Can you tell me what cars of under 1.6-litre have the required three seat belts? I have three grand-daughters!!!
Many thanks,

Ok to replace my Santa Fe with a Kia Sportage?
Is the 2010/2011 Kia Sportage a good car in general? I'm changing from a Hyundai Santa Fe and need a comparably sized vehicle, though with lower tax as I do not need extra power for towing.

Why is my Almera running so badly?
I have a 2004 Nissan Almera 1.5 hatchback. The car is losing power; it seems ok in fourth and fifth gears, but in first, second and third it's a joke, it just crawls along. What could be the problem? When put up on the diagnostic machine, nothing shows up.

Should I worry about the oil in this Opel Astra?
Hi, I am about to buy a 2009 Opel Astra 1.4 five-door hatchback and I have just noticed that it has a lot of creamy stuff round the oil cap. I am buying the car from an Opel garage and they are saying this is meant to happen on newer cars as the engine is different and there is no temperature gauge in the car.
Even their engineer told me this and I also rang my local garage and they said the same. The car has only done 6,083 miles so may need breaking in as basically new... Is this right or are they just trying to sell me something dodgy? I am worried I will get a lot of problems with this as I have always been told to stay away from cars that have this problem. Please help!
