Can I retrofit a better wheel to my VW Golf?

Hi,

I have a quick question: does any company in Dublin do retrofiting of steering wheels on Volkswagen Golfs? I have a standard wheel on my car but I want to put a multifunction one on.

Insurance-wise, ok to upgrade my BMW?

BMW performance related question: if I install the performance enhancement offered by BMW, which increases 2.0-litre engine output from 184hp to 197hp, does this invalidate my insurance? If I inform the insurance provider of the changes it may increase the premium or not provide cover if the car does not conform to homologation, etc. Thoughts?

Worth using fuel additives in my Skoda?

Hi,

I have a 1.6 TDI Greenline 2012 Skoda Superb with 70k km up. An injector recently had to be replaced. I don't know why, possibly because the car is unused for a few months each year. Is there any benefit in using a fuel additive to prevent further damage and, if so, which?

I also have a 2.0-litre petrol turbocharged Mercedes-Benz C-Class (245hp) of much more recent vintage. Is there a benefit of using a fuel additive from early in a car's life? Is there any evidence that these products. work?

Many thanks,

Philip

Can the wrong wheels affect trade-in?

Hi, I bought an Audi six months ago from a non-Audi dealership  and I brought the car to an Audi dealer to find out about service cost and I was told that the alloys on my car were not the real Audi wheels and that would knock about five thousand euro off the trade in price if I want to in the future. I phoned the dealer I bought the car from and he told me that it is just a ploy by Audi to lower my trade-in price.

Could you please let me know what I can do as I paid a lot of money for that car?

Thanks

Is the Opel Mokka X the same size?

I am waiting delivery of a new Opel Mokka X and wish to purchase a rubber fitted boot protector in advance. Most or all of those advertised on Amazon describe them as "2012 onwards". They seem to relate to the model prior to the X model. Are the measurements and shape of the X identical to the previous model?

Should I get a remap for my 2009 Audi A6?

Can you please advise on getting a remap? I own an 2009 Audi A6 TDIe 136hp with low mileage and in great condition. However, I used to own a diesel Octavia RS and miss the power in the bigger, heavier Audi, but do not want to buy a new car. I am considering getting a remap. What do you think of this? Is it worth it?
