VW Passat or Volvo S40 on the scrappage scheme?
Hi guys,
Going for scrappage deal, buying 1.6 diesel. Which car is the one to buy: VW Passat Comfortline 1.6 diesel BlueMotion or Volvo S40 SE 1.6 diesel? I am scrapping a Passat 1.9 diesel.
Thanks

We need a large seven seater with boot space.
We are looking for a seven or eight seater MPV for a family with four small kids so we will be using four rear seats daily and often five. Worried that the standard seven seaters don't have enough boot space with all seats in use. Driving in the city mostly so wary of large minibus type vehicles. Also safety and reliability are priorities.
Our budget is about €25K (less if possible!). We are changing from a large estate so are used to a large boot, hence most of the seven seaters I've looked at just don't measure up in terms of boot space.
What would you recommend? Thanks

Where will I buy a tyre for my Kia Sportage?
I have just bought a Kia Sportage and I am looking to replace one of the front tyres. I only need one as the spare has not been on the car and is still new. I am looking for a Bridgestone 235/60 R16. Do you know who has this tyre at a good price?
Thank you

Why do all fuel prices end in .99?
Does ANYONE in Ireland think it strange that fuel prices on the forecourt always end in '.99' per litre. That '.99' is universal here, but I'm told there is no price fixing? Surely someone can offer fuel at a price that ends in '.50', just to relieve the monotony!

What four-door automatic will I replace my Fiat Punto with?
My wife wants to change to a car with automatic gears as she has broken her leg and now her ankle has plates in it and recently she fractured a bone in the same foot, the left foot.
She does not put up much mileage and drives only local, no country or even cross-city. She has a 2006 Fiat Grande Punto with 18,000 miles on the clock. She wants a four-door and carries a few grandkids quite often. What would you recommend in an 08 or 09?

Is a 2007 Fiat Croma a good buy?
My partner and I have arrived back in Ireland. She will be based here for at least the next 12 months and needs a car that can carry four people in comfort over most of the island fairly regularly. It must also be something of a load-carrier as she will need to move items of bulk rather than weight fairly regularly. A local dealer in Kilkenny has an '07 Fiat Croma 1.8-litre manual at a good price and just 25,000km. It's big enough, safe enough and powerful enough, but we know nothing about this model.
Is it a good buy?

Is €10,999 a suspicious price for an 06 Ford Galaxy?
Is €10,999 a little suspicious for a 2006 Ford Galaxy? It has 55,000 miles on the clock, it's NCT'd, 1 owner but no service history. The garage is not SIMI registered but we're tempted as were on a tight budget.
What do you think?
